I’m a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) and a Member of Society of Technical Analysts (MSTA), UK. I trade for a living in the Indian stock market and US Futures and Commodities markets. I have been providing portfolio advisory services to Indian and NRI retail investors and brokers and sub-brokers in the Indian market for the past 5 years. I also run a product called "Delivery Delights" through the research house www.wow-india.com that is 5 years old. I share my technical views occasionally on Bloomberg UK, CNBC TV18 and Zee Business news.

Before taking up trading as a full time pursuit, I had a career in Information Technology and had worked in industry leading organisations like HCL Technologies and Logica Plc in leadership roles. (My cubicle in HCL Technology used to resemble a free stock advisory cell during our lunch and coffee breaks!!).

My journey in to the world of technical analysis began by a rather intriguing twist. I had bought a sizable amount of SEAMEC shares and a few other similar companies based on the fundamental research done by a site to which I was a paid subscriber. In the next 12-18 months I saw my trading capital diminish to 1/5th along with the price of these particular scrip’s. The monetary loss that I withstood in this episode gave me the best trading insights during the post-mortem I did. This was the triggering event for my education in technical analysis and I considered the loss incurred as my tuition fee to the market to get my basics of technical analysis right.

Ever since that day, I have not read a single financial daily or cared for companies financial results and yet my advisory service has been clocking over 150% annualised gains each year. So, my approach is based on 100% unadulterated technical analysis!

I’m also a sports enthusiast and I play Cricket, Football, Badminton and Tennis to keep myself physically fit. Tennis is my favourite hobby and in my teens I had pursued this as a career for a while before giving it up for education like many a ‘middle class Indian’. I also have an opinion or two when it comes to Spiritualism or Indian Politics ( – I guess two diverse fields as any can be!!)
